To match or not to match, is the classic question brides ask themselves before deciding on bridesmaids’ dresses. Buying different dresses is becoming more and more popular among brides today. One benefit of not matching is, a bridesmaid can pick the style that fits her body the best. Everyone comes in different shapes and sizes and one dress, doesn’t always look good on everybody. By giving your bridesmaids the option to choose, they can find a dress they feel confident in too. Some brides choose not to have one specific color but a variety of colors to match their theme. Instead of choosing one color with different styles of dresses, the bride can choose, one style with different colors of dresses to add a colorful and unique flare to her lineup.
Not only can mixing and matching be a stylish and modern way for dressing, but it can be done on any budget and any wedding palette. Make sure to give your girls some direction by giving them your feedback on the textures and tones you like best. It doesn’t hurt to select some swatches or create a Pinterest board to help guide them. As they get close to purchasing their dresses, have your bridesmaids get in touch with each other to confirm the hues look evenly spread across the pack. All and all, it is your wedding, so it’s your rules. Combine what you like!
