Let’s just say it; the reception is what every guest looks forward to the most. It is where the cake is cut, and the fun begins. Every bride-to-be envisions the night to be one for the books.  Here’s a list of ideas you may want to incorporate at your reception.

Date Jar

A date jar is a great idea for newlyweds to continue to go on fun dates they may have never thought about doing. Have your guests write down their creative thoughts on Popsicle sticks or note cards to give you a fresh batch of ideas to choose from.   Going on dates is a great way to keep the relationship fun and exciting.

Address Station

This will save you many hours and easy mistakes.  Simply have your guests write down their addresses and place it in the index box.  Wahla! You’ve got your first address book complete, and you didn’t even have to lift a finger.  Now you’ll have an updated list of addresses you can use for Thank You notes and Holiday cards.

Photo Booth

A photo booth is always a party hit.  Whether you rent a real one or set up your own selfie station, it will make the night entertaining for everyone.  This can be a fun reminder of the guests who came to celebrate with you on your special day.   It’s fun to have props available for your guests to pose with like over-sized sunglasses, wigs and inflatable guitars.  At the end of the night, you will have tons of memorable and unique pictures!

Decorations

Hang picture frames with photos of your bridesmaids and groomsmen on a wall and have each person write a short bio about themselves for your guests to enjoy. It could include a story of how you guys met or what they look forward to the most about the night.  This is a fun way to personalize your reception decorations and put a smile on your guests faces.

To-go Boxes

Don’t let any delicious cake go to waste. Instead of tossing the cake or trying to finish the beast by yourselves, offer another slice to your guests.  Guests may not want another slice right away, but by providing them with cute to-go boxes, your guests  can enjoy another slice of celebration  later on in the week.  Let the second helpings begin!
